Steven A. Harman Associates, LLC takes great pride in the fact that our consultants are active in the public sector human resource management community.  Below is an update of some of our professional volunteer activities:

Steven A. Harman - will be teaching a one-day course in recruitment, selection and testing as part of the Northern California Chapter of IPMA-HR Professional Development Workshop program.  This workshop is tentatively scheduled for April, 2012.  For further information, please check with the Chapter at www.nccipma.org.

Steven A. Harman   Steve facilitated a panel discussion regarding public employee pension reforms at the 2011 IPMA-HR International Training Conference held in Chicago, IL.

Steven A. Harman - has been appointed to the Certification Committee of IPMA-HR.  The Certification Committee is charged with making policy recommendations to the Executive Council of IPMA-HR regarding the standards for professional public sector human resource certification.

Rob Caughell - recently completed a term as President of the Northern California Chapter of the International Public Management Association for Human Resources.  Working with the Chapter's Board of Directors, Rob was responsible for developing programs and activities designed to meet the educational and development needs of the San Francisco Bay Area's public sector human resource management community.  The Northern California Chapter of IPMA-HR is regarded as one of the best and most effective of the more than 50 chapters that comprise IPMA-HR.
